Happy Gaudete Sunday!

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. Indeed, the Lord is near.” Our antiphons for this month use Philippians 4:4-5 to express the closeness of the Lord, Guadete or REJOICE!

This fast paced season of advent brings us to Christmas next week, which is on a Monday! At sunset on Sunday, we begin celebrating the birth of Our Blessed Lord! The obligation, the story of events and the due worship of God is what we offer the Savior of the world by our presence here at St. Joan of Arc. So many visitors will make our way through our doors to adore Him, the Infant King. As we prepare our hearts for this joyous season, make room and welcome our friends and family to the place where we encounter our Blessed Lord!

¡Feliz domingo Gaudete!

“Estén siempre alegres en el Señor; les repito, estén alegres. El Señor está cerca”. Nuestras antífonas de este mes usan Filipenses 4:4-5 para expresar la cercanía del Señor, Guadete o ¡Alegres!

Esta trepidante temporada de Adviento nos lleva a la Navidad la próxima semana, ¡que es lunes! ¡Al atardecer del domingo, comenzamos a celebrar el nacimiento de Nuestro Bendito Señor! La obligación, el relato de los acontecimientos y el debido culto a Dios es lo que ofrecemos al Salvador del mundo con nuestra presencia aquí en Santa Juana de Arco. Muchos visitantes cruzarán nuestras puertas para adorarlo a Él, el Rey Niño. Mientras preparamos nuestros corazones para esta estación gozosa, ¡haga espacio y dé la bienvenida a nuestros amigos y familiares al lugar donde nos encontramos con nuestro Bendito Señor!
