Happy Sunday!

A very happy Father’s Day to all of our fathers in the community. This weekend we are also celebrating the Solemnity of St. Joan of Arc. Her calendar feast day is May 30th, however, since she is our patroness, we are able to move it to the closest available Sunday so that more people in the parish can celebrate it. Since the Sunday after May 30th was Trinity Sunday and then Corpus Christi, the next closest Sunday is this weekend. The readings and antiphons will not be the same as are in the Lumen Christi missal.

As you heard last weekend, we are changing our online giving platform. We will be transitioning from WeShare to PushPay. This transition is part of parish wide transition to a new database. Thank you to everyone for helping us get lined up with this new platform by transferring your gifts from WeShare to PushPay. As I mentioned on Sunday, online giving is a huge help to the parish in stabilizing our income and planning for the future.

This week we have Vacation Bible School. I am grateful to all of our volunteers for heading up such a wonderful week. We will have over 100 children joining us for this exciting week. Please keep all involved in your prayers!

Next Saturday, June 24th, after the 4:30pm Mass we will have a Farewell celebration as it will be my last weekend in the parish. I have been grateful for the many invitations these past few months to share a meal with so many of you. I look forward to this opportunity to spend time with you all. It will be a reception with light refreshments. I hope to see you there!

¡Feliz domingo!

Un muy feliz día del padre a todos nuestros padres en la comunidad. Este fin de semana también estamos celebrando la Solemnidad de Santa Juana de Arco. El día de su fiesta del calendario es el 30 de mayo; sin embargo, como ella es nuestra patrona, podemos moverla al domingo más cercano disponible para que más personas en la parroquia puedan celebrarla. Dado que el domingo siguiente al 30 de mayo fue el Domingo de la Trinidad y luego el de Corpus Christi, el próximo domingo más cercano es este fin de semana. Las lecturas y las antífonas no serán las mismas que las del misal de Lumen Christi.

Como escucharon el fin de semana pasado, estamos cambiando nuestra plataforma de donaciones en línea. Haremos la transición de WeShare a PushPay. Esta transición es parte de la transición de toda la parroquia a una nueva base de datos. Gracias a todos por ayudarnos a alinearnos con esta nueva plataforma transfiriendo sus regalos de WeShare a PushPay. Como mencioné el domingo, las donaciones en línea son de gran ayuda para la parroquia en la estabilización de nuestros ingresos y la planificación para el futuro.

Esta semana tenemos Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones. Estoy agradecido con todos nuestros voluntarios por encabezar una semana tan maravillosa. Tendremos más de 100 niños acompañándonos en esta emocionante semana. ¡Por favor mantenga a todos involucrados en sus oraciones!

El próximo sábado 24 de junio, después de la misa de las 4:30 por la tarde, tendremos una celebración de despedida ya que será mi último fin de semana en la parroquia. He estado agradecido por las muchas invitaciones estos últimos meses para compartir una comida con tantos de ustedes. Espero esta oportunidad de pasar tiempo con todos ustedes. Será una recepción con refrigerios ligeros. ¡Espero verte allí!
