Pray, Fast and Defend

Happy Sunday!

After praying, fasting and defending the legal protection of the unborn for nearly 50 years, it has been almost two years since the aftermath of the overturning Roe v. Wade. Since then, the defense of human life has gotten more difficult as states are now enacting laws to protect or continue destroying innocent human life.

Last year a movie called Nefarious (2023) was released where an atheist man psychologically evaluated a man possessed. The dialogue is incredible and the two of them go back and forth. The script is based on actual encounters with exorcist priests and so the content is legit. There came a point in the movie where the topic of abortion came up. This infuriated Dr. Martin because of his stance. Here is the quick line from the movie:

Dr. James Martin: “Who are you to judge me? This is my life. I can live it the way I want.”
Nefarious: “Yes, James! I couldn’t have said it better myself. But it’s still murder.”
Dr. James Martin: “Says who?”
Nefarious: “Says all of creation, James. The creator creates and we destroy, and we do all of it through you. We always have. Did you forget your history, Jimmy?”

The dialogue continues to reference ancient practices of tossing infants into the fire with beating drums to distract and drown out the horrific sounds of what actually happens. A similar distraction of subtle beating drums is happening in our state of Arizona with a proposed constitutional amendment. At this point, signatures are being acquired until July 3, 2024 to appear on the November 5, 2024 ballot. What you can do right now is decline to sign anything and be vigilant. Our fight is not over, but with prayerful support and understanding we can prevent the tragedy of abortion to continue in our state.

Please join me in praying and fasting on the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children on January 22, 2024. Continue to pray for the healing of women and men hurting by the effects this has done.

¡Feliz domingo! Después de orar, ayunar y defender la protección legal de los no nacidos durante casi 50 años, han pasado casi dos años desde la revocación del caso Roe v. Wade. Desde entonces, la defensa de la vida humana se ha vuelto más difícil a medida que los estados promulgan leyes para proteger o seguir destruyendo vidas humanas inocentes.

El año pasado se estrenó una película llamada Nefarious (2023) donde un hombre ateo evaluaba psicológicamente a un hombre poseído. El diálogo es increíble y los dos van y vienen. El guión se basa en encuentros reales con sacerdotes exorcistas, por lo que el contenido es legítimo. Llegó un punto de la película en el que surgió el tema del aborto. Esto enfureció al Dr. Martin debido a su postura. Aquí está la línea rápida de la película:

Dr. James Martin: “¿Quién eres tú para juzgarme? Esta es mi vida. Puedo vivirlo como quiero”.
Nefasto: “¡Sí, James! Yo no podría haberlo dicho mejor. Pero sigue siendo un asesinato”.
Dr. James Martin: “¿Quién dice?”
Nefasto: “Dice toda la creación, James. El creador crea y nosotros destruimos, y todo lo hacemos a través de ti. Nosotros siempre tenemos. ¿Olvidaste tu historia, Jimmy?

El diálogo continúa haciendo referencia a prácticas antiguas de arrojar a los bebés al fuego con tambores para distraer y ahogar los horribles sonidos de lo que realmente sucede. Una distracción similar de sutiles golpes de tambores está ocurriendo en nuestro estado de Arizona con una propuesta de enmienda constitucional. En este punto, se están adquiriendo firmas hasta el 3 de julio de 2024 para que aparezcan en la boleta electoral del 5 de noviembre de 2024. Lo que puedes hacer ahora es negarte a firmar nada y estar atento. Nuestra lucha no ha terminado, pero con apoyo y comprensión en oración podemos evitar que la tragedia del aborto continúe en nuestro estado.

Únase a mí en oración y ayuno en el Día de Oración por la Protección Legal de los Niños No Nacidos el 22 de enero de 2024. Continúe orando por la curación de mujeres y hombres heridos por los efectos que esto ha causado.
