Greetings and blessings!

On July 10th, our Knights of Columbus Council here at St. Joan of Arc installed new officers which included my appointment as chaplain. I am grateful for the past Grand Knights, past officers and current members who fulfill their duties with the council. I offer my sincere congratulations to our new Grand Knight Chuck Reader and the rest of the officers. After attending the ceremonies, the brotherhood of the knights was inspiring as the men were reminded to embrace the cross of Jesus Christ. This brotherhood resembled a portion of the Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary vision prayer: “In brotherhood we strive to be discipled by Jesus in all things; to embrace joyfully His cross.”

The practice of doing charitable works, the intentional brotherhood and walking in the light are some of the many aspects of our brother knights. Keep praying for courageous men in our parish who practice charity, humility and brotherhood. When brothers live in unity in the Trinity, a fraternity forms that has the power to impact the family life, the parish and sacrifice for the sake of those they love.

May Christ continue to bless our community here at St. Joan of Arc!

Saludos y bendiciones!

El 10 de julio, nuestros Caballeros de Colón aquí en Santa Juana de Arco instalaron nuevos oficiales que incluyeron mi nombramiento como capellán. Estoy agradecido por los Grandes Caballeros anteriores, los funcionarios anteriores y los miembros actuales que cumplen con sus deberes en el consejo. Ofrezco mis más sinceras felicitaciones a nuestro nuevo Gran Caballero Chuck Reader y al resto de los oficiales.

Después de asistir a las ceremonias, la hermandad de los caballeros fue inspiradora cuando se les recordó a los hombres que abrazaran la cruz de Jesucristo. Esta hermandad se parecía a una porción de la oración de la visión del Seminario Teológico de San Juan Vianney: “En la hermandad nos esforzamos por ser discípulos de Jesús en todas las cosas; para abrazar con alegría su cruz.”

La práctica de hacer obras de caridad, la fraternidad intencional y caminar en la luz son algunos de los muchos aspectos de nuestros hermanos caballeros. Sigan orando por hombres valientes en nuestra parroquia que practiquen la caridad, la humildad y la fraternidad. Cuando los hermanos viven en unidad en la Trinidad, se forma una fraternidad que tiene el poder de impactar la vida familiar, la parroquia y el sacrificio por el bien de sus seres queridos.

¡Que Cristo continúe bendiciendo a nuestra comunidad aquí en Santa Juana de Arco!
