Vacation Bible School Needs
We are excited to again host VBS for about 100 children of the parish this summer!
Many of you ask how you can donate to support this special week for our children - Thank you!
Firstly, we would love your prayers for the children attending, volunteer leaders, and the staff - that this week may be completely focused on Jesus!
Our theme this year is prayer, travel, and St. Francis of Assisi. We invite donations related to those themes! (such as broken suitcases that you do not want back and can be used for decoration!) Please only donate things you do not need back!
Please bring your donations before Mon, Jun 1 to the Parish front office during the office open hours and ask that they be put in Laura Gallant's office.
Specific items that we will need for the activities during the week are:
- Glue bottles
- Glue sticks
- Religious foam stickers
- Religious regular stickers
- Blue Painter's tape
- Scotch tape (single-sided)
- Fabric markers
- 8.5x11 inch sheets of craft foam
- Rolls of contact paper
- Colored sharpies
- Colored decorative craft tape
- String for rosaries
- White cardstock
- Travel-related craft items and decorative items
- Cultural items (such as flags) related to Italy, Poland, Mexico and France.
- Religious items that students can take home for a sacred space for prayer (small stand up crucifixes, small religious icons of Christ, Mary or the saints, rosaries, etc.)
- Items related to Saints Francis of Assisi, John Bosco, Faustina, Bernadette, and Juan Diego.
- Dress-up items related to travel (we cannot return these) - pilot hat or suit or clip on wings, caution vests, etc.)
- Cardstock poster board sheets (large)
- Small, blank prayer journals
- Hula hoops
