Happy Sunday!

Today’s Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ reminds us of who we carry close to our hearts. When we hear of the offering of bread and wine by Melchizedek, the traditions of the Eucharist expressed by Saint Paul and the feeding of the five thousand, together they reveal God’s fundamental role as Nourisher of Mankind.

The saints and martyrs were nourished by the same Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ that becomes present on our altar. When the Lord commands “Give them some food yourselves,” He teaches the disciples and all of us to recognize our inability to provide life for ourselves.

Upon the altar in the Adoration Chapel, our Blessed Lord Jesus awaits His sons and daughters to enter into eternity and be nourished with His Divine Presence. Our chapel is perpetual meaning there is a person adoring our Lord at all times of the day. The chapel is also open during office hours. All other times require a sign up and key fob.

This gift of Perpetual Adoration is a huge gift to the parish and the people who thirst for His Presence. So come, let us adore Christ the Lord, the Bread of Life!

Santísimo Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo

¡Feliz domingo!

La Solemnidad del Santísimo Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo de hoy nos recuerda a quiénes llevamos en el corazón. Cuando escuchamos la ofrenda del pan y el vino de Melquisedec, las tradiciones de la Eucaristía expresadas por San Pablo y la alimentación de los cinco mil, en conjunto revelan el papel fundamental de Dios como Sustento de la Humanidad. Los santos y mártires fueron alimentados por el mismo Cuerpo, Sangre, Alma y Divinidad de Jesucristo que se hace presente en nuestro altar. Cuando el Señor ordena: "Denles ustedes de comer", enseña a los discípulos y a todos nosotros a reconocer nuestra incapacidad para proveernos la vida a nosotros mismos.

Sobre el altar de la Capilla de Adoración, nuestro Bendito Señor Jesús espera a sus hijos e hijas para entrar en la eternidad y ser nutridos por su Divina Presencia. Nuestra capilla es perpetua, lo que significa que hay una persona adorando a nuestro Señor en todo momento del día. La capilla también está abierta durante el horario de oficina. En cualquier otro horario se requiere una inscripción y un llavero.

Este don de la Adoración Perpetua es un gran regalo para la parroquia y las personas que anhelan su presencia. ¡Vengan, pues, adoremos a Cristo, el Señor, el Pan de Vida!
