Happy Easter!

Our Easter season is almost complete and what a joyous time of the year for many of us here at St. Joan of Arc. On May 9th we had many of our students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and First Holy Communion celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Thomas Olmsted! We are reminded of the Advocate that will come at Pentecost from this weekend’s Gospel:

“I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”

Another exciting event we are happy to share is the presentation of the artwork by Ruth Stricklin in our church. This evening will begin with Sung Vespers at 6:30pm, followed by the St. Joan of Arc artwork presentation at 7:00pm. This will allow you to ask questions about the murals and art pieces. All this takes place in the main church on May 29th.

One last special announcement is the Solemn Mass of St. Joan of Arc on Friday, May 30th at 6:00pm. Join us in celebrating our patroness of our parish with these celebrations this week!

6° Domingo de Pascua

¡Felices Pascuas!

Nuestra Pascua está a punto de terminar y es una época muy feliz para muchos de nosotros en Santa Juana de Arco. El 9 de mayo, muchos de nuestros estudiantes recibieron el Sacramento de la Confirmación y la Primera Comunión, celebrados por el Obispo Emérito Thomas Olmsted. El Evangelio de este fin de semana nos recuerda al Defensor que vendrá en Pentecostés: “Les he hablado de esto ahora que estoy con ustedes; pero el Consolador, el Espíritu Santo que mi Padre les enviará en mi nombre, les enseñará todas las cosas y les recordará todo cuanto yo les he dicho.”

Otro evento emocionante que nos complace compartir es la presentación de la obra de Ruth Stricklin en nuestra iglesia. Esta noche comenzará con las Vísperas Cantadas a las 6:30 p. m., seguidas de la presentación de la obra de Santa Juana de Arco a las 7:00 p. m. Esto les permitirá hacer preguntas sobre los murales y las obras de arte. Todo esto tendrá lugar en la iglesia principal el 29 de mayo. Un último anuncio especial es la Misa Solemne de Santa Juana de Arco el viernes 30 de mayo a las 18:00 h. ¡Acompáñenos a celebrar a nuestra patrona de la parroquia con estas celebraciones esta semana!
