Happy Sunday!

Next weekend we are very excited to host our Women’s Day of Recollection on Saturday. We will be welcoming Carol Restaine and Leila Miller to lead our women. Carol has been a missionary in Honduras for the past 20 years, offering her life in service to the Gospel by serving the poor and vulnerable in Comayagua, Honduras.

Leila has worked in the Diocese of Phoenix here and spoken around the country supporting couples as they live the Sacrament of Marriage. If you have not already done so, please sign up on our website to join for the day. It will be on Saturday October 15th from 8am-3pm.

Please mark your calendars as well for November 20th, the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. We will have a special Mass at 2:30pm that day which will lead into our Eucharistic Procession through the neighborhood. If you are not able to attend the Mass but would like to attend the Procession you can arrive around 3:20pm to meet the procession as it comes out of Mass. I know many families with children choose this option to get strollers and wagons ready. The procession will be about one mile and will last around 45 minutes. We hope you can join us to bear witness to our Eucharistic Lord in our community!

I received word last week that our altar is in transit from Europe! It should be arriving around mid-November. I am waiting to finalize some of our contracts for the painting of the Church as well as the principal murals of St. Joan of Arc. Once I have more concrete details I will let everyone know. Thank you so much for your generosity to this project. We are excited about the opportunity to add to the beauty of our parish for the glory of God!

¡Feliz domingo!

El próximo fin de semana, estamos muy emocionados de organizar nuestro Día del Recuerdo de la Mujer el sábado. Daremos la bienvenida a Carol Restaine y Leila Miller para que lideren a nuestras mujeres. Carol ha sido misionera en Honduras durante los últimos 20 años, ofreciendo su vida al servicio del Evangelio sirviendo a los pobres y vulnerables en Comayagua, Honduras. Leila ha trabajado aquí en la Diócesis de Phoenix y ha hablado en todo el país apoyando a las parejas mientras viven el Sacramento del Matrimonio. Si aún no lo ha hecho, regístrese en nuestro sitio web para unirse al día. Será el sábado 15 de octubre, desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 3 de la tarde.

Por favor marque sus calendarios también para el 20 de noviembre, la Solemnidad de Jesucristo, Rey del Universo. Tendremos una misa especial a las 2:30 de la tarde ese día que conducirá a nuestra procesión eucarística por el vecindario. Si no puede asistir a la Misa, pero le gustaría asistir a la Procesión, puede llegar alrededor de las 3:20 de la tarde para encontrarse con la procesión a medida que sale de la Misa. Sé que muchas familias con niños eligen esta opción para obtener cochecitos y vagones listos. La procesión será de aproximadamente una milla y durará alrededor de 45 minutos. ¡Esperamos que pueda unirse a nosotros para dar testimonio de nuestro Señor Eucarístico en nuestra comunidad!

¡Recibí noticias la semana pasada de que nuestro altar está en tránsito desde Europa! Debería estar llegando a mediados de noviembre. Estoy a la espera de finalizar algunos de nuestros contratos para la pintura de la Iglesia, así como los principales murales de Santa Juana de Arco. Cuando tenga más detalles concretos, se los haré saber a todos.
