Adoration and Sanctification

Pope St. John Paul II, of blessed memory, has left us a beautiful opportunity to grow in our love for Jesus Christ Our Eucharistic King. During his time as our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II blessed a number of Eucharistic Thrones (monstrances) that are to be used around the world for the faithful people of God. These monstrances that are circulating around the world are sent to various parishes for a short span of time to be used for adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

It was Pope John Paul II’s hope that those who spent time in prayer before Our Lord would offer special intentions for vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life and joy filled marriages. Another intention was that the Holy Father wanted the people of God to offer prayers for the sanctification of priests.

During the entire month of October, St. Joan of Arc Parish will have one of these sacred monstrances that were blessed by Pope John Paul II in 2004. There are many powerful stories of families who spent time in prayer before Our Lord in the presence of these blessed monstrances who have received miraculous healings and blessings.

During this October, our parish is blessed to have this opportunity to gather in prayer before this beautiful monstrance that has been blessed by St. John Paul II. Next week you will receive a prayer of consecration that we can offer for our families as one family before Our Lord. Some other activities that we are planning include:
-Parish-wide adoration in the St. Katherine Drexel Chapel on Oct 22, which is the Feast of John Paul II.
-This time of adoration will begin after 8:00 am Mass and conclude the next morning before 8:00 am Mass.
-We will offer a Rosary for Vocations to the Priesthood.
-Adoration Testimonials the weekend of Oct 17/18.
-Adoration in the Main Church before all Masses.
-Eucharistic Procession around the campus of St. Joan of Arc.

God Bless,

Adoración y Santificación

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,
