SolTeen serves 7th-12th graders on alternating Monday nights from 6:00-8:15pm. We begin with Mass which is then followed by food and fellowship in Santa Maria Hall.
We are using the Lifeteen and Focus curriculum as our teaching guidelines for this semester's high school ministry. Each meeting will be structured in one of the following ways:
- Evangelization nights which will focus solely on fostering a love for and deepening the understanding of the Catholic faith.
- Prayer nights which aim to assist the teens as they journey in their relationship with God and will include Adoration and an opportunity for Confession at the end of the night.
- Social Nights in which the teens will have the opportunity to develop virtuous friendships and camaraderie while participating in games and social activities.
This semester we will be delving into Salvation history, beginning with the Creation story and original sin all the way to the death and resurrection of Jesus in order to more fully understand God's infinite mercy and love for us and His desire to bring us into right relationship with Him. We will also be introducing and exploring various prayer methods in order to encourage the use of prayer in daily life.
